Celebrating Togetherness Through a Cup of Coffee

Coffee has long been an essential part of Indonesia’s social life. More than just a beverage, it has been present in various moments of togetherness and has served as a familiar medium for sharing stories while strengthening connections across ages, backgrounds, and cultures.

This spirit is reflected by KAPPI at Harmoni Imlek Nusantara 2026 through live coffee serving with an open and interactive concept. This approach not only attracted visitors but also provided them with an opportunity to experience the unique flavors of Indonesian coffee more closely.

During the event, KAPPI also shared informative materials about its role and activities in supporting the development of Indonesian coffee. Visual presentations of KAPPI’s initiatives further enriched the experience, allowing visitors not only to enjoy coffee but also to understand the process, values, and stories behind it. Through this approach, KAPPI emphasized that coffee is not merely about taste, but also about the cultural values and stories it carries.

Coffee as a Part of Social Life

Amid modern  life, coffee has remained an integral part of daily routines, bringing people together and fostering interaction, conversation, and togetherness.

For KAPPI, coffee holds a profound meaning. Roby Wibisono from KAPPI stated that coffee has the power to become a cultural bridge that connects diverse stories and backgrounds. This perspective is aligned with reality, where Indonesia’s coffee culture continues to grow and is passed down from generation to generation.

Harmoni Imlek Nusantara: Experiencing Coffee as a Cultural Journey

The Lunar New Year served as a space for cultural acculturation, including the increasingly rooted tradition of drinking coffee.  In this celebration, KAPPI offered a unique experience by serving freshly brewed hot coffee in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Roby Wibisono also highlighted that Lunar New Year celebrations in Indonesia reflect a blend of Chinese and Nusantara cultures, with coffee serving as a symbol of national pride, representing the journey of farmers and its role in global cultural diplomacy.

KAPPI’s presence at this celebration reinforced that coffee is not merely a  product to be consumed, but an experience and a symbol that carries stories of the land, tradition, and the hard work of farmers.
